Professor ​​​Anan Shetty​

Prof. Shetty is a leading knee and limb reconstruction surgeon and has been appointed as a Specialist Adviser to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

He is a Professor and Director of Minimally Invasive Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty of Health at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent. His main interest is stem cell research, cartilage transplant, application of computer navigation and robotics in minimally invasive surgery.  

He was the recipient of the prestigious Laing and Buisson surgical innovation award in 2011.

He has published extensively and authored many books.

Professor Shetty was awarded the prestigious Hunterian Professorship and the Surgical Medal for 2017 by the Royal College of Surgeons of England for his research on stem cells in articular cartilage repair.
